Dido shot to worldwide success with her debut album, No Angel (1999). The album sold in excess of 21 million copies worldwide, and won several awards; including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best New Act, two NRJ Awards for Best New Act and Best Album, and two BRIT Awards for Best British Female and Best Album. Her following album, Life for Rent (2003), continued her mainstream success with the help of popular singles "White Flag" and "Life for Rent". The album went on to sell around 12 million copies worldwide and saw her receive more accolades; including the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year for "White Flag", two further BRIT and NRJ Awards, as well as a Grammy Award nomination. Dido's first two albums, No Angel and Life for Rent, are among the best-selling albums in UK Chart history, and both are in the top 10 best-selling albums of the 2000s in the UK. Her third and latest studio album, Safe Trip Home (2008), received critical praise to help maintain her success. She was nominated for an Academy Award for the song "If I Rise". Dido has been ranked #98 of Billboard 200 Artists Music Chart based on the success of her music in the first decade of the 21st century.

British-Norwegian pop group. They were originally made up of Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read, Ben Adams and Paul Marazzi. Their first single, "Be the First to Believe", entered the UK singles chart at #6 in early 1999. They had a huge amount of success worldwide and charts with two number #1s and eight top 10 hits. Adding to this they also won a BRIT Award for "British Breakthrough Act" in 2001. They were formed by band manager Tim Byrne, who also formed Steps. A1 came to an end in 2002 when original member Paul Marazzi left in 2002 and the band subsequently decided to split.

In August 2009, Ingebrigtsen, Read and Adams announced that they would reform A1, albeit without Marazzi, for a series of concerts in Oslo in December 2009 at the Christiania Theatre.[1] Since their comeback they have already released four new singles, "Take You Home", "Don't Wanna Lose You Again", "In Love and I Hate It" and "Waiting for Daylight". Their fourth studio album, Waiting for Daylight, was released on 11 October 2010. The band have sold 3 million records worldwide.

Neocolours

Neocolours is a band of pop in the Philippines. It was formed on 1998 and was dissolved on 1994. They were able to release three albums on their sojourn and a compilation album after the dissolution of the band. Neocolours was formed on year1988 in Manila, Philippines. Among its original members were Jimmy Antiporda who deals with the keyboards, Ito Rapadas as the vocalist, Marvin Querido on the 2nd keyboards, Josel Jimenez on guitars, Paku Herrera as the bassist and Nino Regaldo on drums.

Mojofly

A Filipino band offering more radio-friendly, pop-leaning alternative to rock for the youths of today. The band was formed on 1999 by Ricci Gurango after he left ”Hungry Young Poets” as bassist. The band’s lead singer Kitchie Nadal promoted some songs such as Another Day and Scooter Boy to national recognition. The band released two albums; a debut album entitled Birth Day on 1999 and was followed by A Million Stories released on 2002. Both albums were released under the label of Sony Music Philippines. But sadly, on May of 2003, Kitchie left the band to pursue a solo career.

Silent Sanctuary

Silent Sanctuary’s second album Fuchsiang Pag-ibig, was released under Universal Records in 2007. They did this with the help of their manager Kerwin Rosete who has worked for Parokya ni Edgar, and now the person behind One Big Family Artist Management also manage other OPM bands like Itchyworms, Ciudad, Soapdish, Overtone, Wandering Dew, and Concrete Sam.
Their Third album called Mistaken for Granted was released on March 27, 2009 under Universal Records with Rommel “Sancho" Sanchez and Buddy Zabala as producers.

South Border

South Border is a Filipino pop and R&B band formed in the 90s who gained recognition in the music scene in the 2000s. Introvoys

In April 2009, Tim De Ramos joined the band as the new drummer while Arespacochaga assumed duties as the new lead guitarist.

In September 2009, G3 Misa, formerly with Shanghaied and Mystery became the new guitarist and Gary Padre became the new bassist.

In October 2011, at the Tanduay Rockfest, Arespachochaga performed signature Introvoys hits including "Line To Heaven" and "Di Na Ako Aasa Pa". Buoyed by the warm welcome he got from the crowd, he said, “Salamat. Maraming, maraming salamat. By next year, kasama ko na ang buong banda.”

Afterimage

The band's first album, entitled Touch the Sun, was released in 1992 on Dyna Records (now Dyna Music). Among the eight songs that the album contained, four were released as singles: ("[Bai] Sa Langit ang Ating Tagpuan," "Only You," "Next in Line," and "Pagtawid"). The title of the album, which was the concluding part of the lyric to "Next in Line," was said to have just been a spontaneous utter of phrase which Cornejo made during the recording session for the said song.

6cyclemind comes from the 5 members plus their manager, Darwin Hernandez of Soupstar Entertainment as the 6th person. Collectively, they all contribute to the composing, arranging and brainstorming, which is a continuous cycle in their creation of music, hence 6cyclemind. Carlos "Chuck" Isidro was the former lead guitarist for Afterimage. When Afterimage disbanded, Isidro, worked in the recording company. During his stay, he signed up a group managed by Darwin Hernandez. Both of them talked and chose to form a band by adding members, which became 6cyclemind.

Gorillaz

Gorillaz is an English musical and visual project created in 1997 by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. The project consists of Gorillaz's music itself and an extensive fictional universe depicting a "virtual band" of cartoon characters. This band has four animated members: 2D (lead vocalist, keyboard, and melodica), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar and drum machine), Noodle (guitar, keyboard, and occasional vocals) and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion). Akon

Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam, better known as simply Akon ( /ˈeɪkɒn/, is a Senegalese American R&B recording artist, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and businessman.

He rose to prominence in 2004 following the release of "Locked Up", the first single from his debut album Trouble. His second album, "Konvicted" received three nominations for the Grammy Awards in two categories, Best Contemporary R&B Album for "Konvicted" album and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Smack That" and "I Wanna Love You".
